Test broadcasts commenced to Western area (Freetown) on 15th May 2006, with live programmes from the 1st July. Capital Radio broadcasts on 104.9MHz FM from Leicester Peak. Predicted coverage includes not just Freetown, but a large part of the West of the country. For those that would like to know the technical details:

Antenna height above ground: 25m
Frequency: 104.9MHz
Polarisation: Circular
Transmitter power: 1kW
ERP: 4kW

Predicted coverage (where you can receive us)

Coverage of Bo city will be launched early in 2008 on 102.3MHz.

Internet streaming is not currently available, although this is under review. Because of complicated copyright issues, streaming internationally is not viable. If these issues can be resolved and a 100% availability internet connection made, then a streaming service may be launched.
